My Almost Crawling Baby

Next Saturday Lucas will be 7 months old!  Time flies by so quickly!  Here he is trying his hardest to crawl.  He was able to crawl one step, but when he looked at me he lost balance and fell over.  That was followed by a lot of screaming (he is getting a temper!).  Crawling is always bittersweet.  My little ity bity pumpkin, who I could hold in my arms all day, has grown into a baby who is ready to be on the move.  I’ll be chasing him everywhere!

Crawling 2

Thinking about his crawling strategy.

Crawling 3

Getting up on his knees. I could tell it was hard work, because he kept lowering his head in exhaustion.

He took a step! He was so happy he looked back at me and fell over! He proceeded to scream in a fit of rage!

After I calmed him down he laid on his back and played with his toys! He needed a little rest!

  1. So exciting! My little man’s trying to figure it out so we’ve been getting a lot of faceplants around here.

  2. My youngest is army crawling. Our oldest did the same thing. And they are both fast.
