I Like Bugs!

Round bugs. Shiny bugs. Fat bugs. Buggy bugs. I like bugs! . . . OK, let’s be honest – I don’t really like bugs. BUT my kiddos think they’re pretty neat and so that was our theme this week 🙂 First, we got out the magnifying glass and went for another nature walk – this time looking for bugs to inspect . . .

One of our favorite bug books this week was The Mixed-up Caterpillar by Annie Kubler. After reading it, we did this caterpillar-to-butterfly paint craft . . .

Then fold the paper over and scrape the paint outward from the center toward the edges of the paper (making wings).
